Karen is our TLC hostess for this last day of the year and she is proposing that we revisit embossing folder stamping; TLC723 Embossing Folder Stamping.
It's been a while since I've done this - my first piece came out well but was too small for the die which I wanted to use. Finally I remembered that I used to get better results if I sprayed the paper rather than the folder, and ended up with this piece which I used. I'd used green and pink gelatos and some metallic distress crayon on a brocade ef, and I was able to let it dry while I got on with the housework.
Cut the die (Christmas gift, thank you Lorraine!) from watercolour paper and coloured it with watercolours, Twinkling H2Os for the bells. Found a sentiment that would fit inside the wreath, and added some music notes. All the little leaves have SN clear glitter pen on them, and the berries have clear Nuvo drops. I tucked foam under the birds and bells to add a little dimension, and distressed the edges of the background panel.
DH thinks it needs something in the top left corner, I don't.

Such a cool technique. Today everyone seems to be using a wonderful sentiment & your beautiful card is no exception. The musical notes are so cute & perfect here.

What an incredibly delicate wreath!! and it's gorgeous with the soft watercoloring. Love those itty bitty music notes - they are absolutely the perfect size to go with the birds.

Nope! It's perfect as is with no additions!
I have loved that PB die ever since I saw it (but have held back from purchasing it!). I love the delicate branches, the jingle bells, and of course, the little birds. This flew (so to speak) straight into my favorites. Happy New Year!

Those sweet little birds can do a lot of ringing with the cute bells hanging from the wreath! Between the birds and the bells it will be a beautiful tune!
